The following information has not yet been officially confirmed.\n \nRace start 7.30pm at Carver Barracks Airfield\, Wimbish\, Saffron Walden\, Essex. CB10 2YA.\n \nWhat3words location ///rivers.giant.hazel\n \nThis is the penultimate event of the season so would be great to continue the strong club representation.\n \nThe route is one lap of a largely flat course on a surface of concrete and tarmac with loose stones in place and some potholes. The route starts on the main runway before turning on to the second runway and perimeter road which you continue on until re-joining the main runway prior to the finish.\n \nFirst 5 ladies and mens finishing positions are added up and the idea is for these to be as low as possible\, after which every club finisher reduces that score by one. Lower the score the better.\n \nPlease come along and participate. You’ll enjoy it more than you’d imagine.\n \nThere will be toilets at the sports pavilion near the start finish area.\n \nParking is available within the airfield site\, through a metal gated entrance\, which will be signed with Saffron Striders markers – note this is about 200m away from the main Army Barracks entrance.\n \nIf you need Kit Prior to the event please let myself \, the Kit Team or one of the committee know and we will do our best to make sure it is with you either before or at the event.

DESCRIPTION:The event is at Horseheath racecourse (What3words:///seasons.routs.mute).\nIt would be useful if people car shared from an environmental point of view\, although our venue does have ample space. The start line is only a few mins walk from the car park and the Marshalls there will point you in the right direction. The Portaloos are between the car park and the start line.\nThe course has an early elevation (not as extreme as Kedington!) but has a decent 1km downhill descent at the end.\n \n\nThe route is one lap and is predominantly on farm track. Between 2km and 3km is single file track.\nFor people who have never run this 5k series before its similar to Saturday morning national 5k run\, once you finish you will be given a token. Please hand this token to your Team Captain who will record your name and number. DO NOT LEAVE THE SITE WITH YOUR TOKEN!\nWe look forward to seeing you there. There will be an ice cream van with cakes and the normal ices to purchase. Safe travels and happy running.
